An AllContraX exclusive
A signature proves someone signed. Informed Signing shows they understood.
Home-improvement disputes usually start the same way: “nobody told me.” Informed Signing adds a short, recorded, AI-guided review after the e-signature — where your customer hears their cancellation rights and key terms explained in plain language, asks anything, and confirms understanding in their own words. The whole conversation is saved with the contract.

The process
How it works
Customer signs electronically
The normal e-sign flow: unique email link, consent, drawn or typed signature, initialed pages — the audit trail you'd expect.
A short recorded review begins
When the contractor requests it, our assistant starts a spoken walkthrough — about three minutes, recorded with the customer's knowledge from the first sentence.
Understanding, not just “I agree”
The assistant explains cancellation rights, payment, and key terms — then asks the customer to answer in their own words. “How long do you have to cancel this agreement?” beats a checkbox.
Confusion gets fixed on the spot
Wrong answer? The assistant re-explains it a different way and asks again. Questions get neutral answers drawn from the agreement itself — no sales pressure, no rushing.
Everything is preserved
Audio recording, timestamped transcript, questions asked, answers given, clarifications made — cryptographically fingerprinted and saved with the signed contract.
Sample session record
“Acknowledgment session lasted 6 minutes 42 seconds. The customer participated verbally, gave 5 responses, answered 4 comprehension questions correctly, and received 1 clarification before the session completed.”
Plus the full audio, timestamped transcript, and SHA-256 fingerprints — attached to the signed contract.
Why contractors want this
- Fewer “nobody told me I could cancel” disputes — the recording shows exactly what was explained and understood.
- Customers who understand the scope, the payment terms, and the exclusions argue less and refer more.
- The review is neutral and unhurried — it protects your customer just as much as it protects you.
- Attorney-editable scripts: the wording your lawyer approves is exactly what every customer hears, every time.
Why homeowners trust it
- Your cancellation rights are explained out loud, in plain language — before the work ever starts.
- Ask anything, as many times as you need. The assistant re-explains until it makes sense.
- No one can rush you past the important parts — the review doesn't finish until the key items are covered.
- You get the same recording and transcript the contractor gets.

It does not provide legal advice, does not guarantee the enforceability of any agreement, and is not a substitute for compliance with applicable law — contractors should have their contracts and review scripts approved by their attorney.
