How We Vet Our Contractors

At AllContraX, connecting you with a contractor isn't something we do lightly. Before we refer any project, we do our due diligence — so you start from a place of confidence, not a coin flip.

We can't guarantee how any single project will go. No one honestly can. But we can guarantee that we've done everything reasonable on our end to give you the highest possible chance of a great experience. Here's exactly what that means.

Our due diligence

Before we refer a project to a contractor, we check:

  • Licensing. For trades that Kentucky requires to be licensed — like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC — we confirm the contractor holds a valid, current license for the work they do.
  • Insurance. We ask contractors to confirm they carry appropriate liability insurance, so you're aware of coverage before work begins.
  • Business standing. We verify the contractor is a real, registered business in good standing with the Kentucky Secretary of State — not a fly-by-night operation.
  • Local presence. We confirm they actually operate in and around Owensboro and western Kentucky, with verifiable contact information. You're being connected with your neighbors, not a call center three states away.
  • Track record. We review the contractor's public reputation and history for any serious, unresolved pattern of problems before we send you their way.

Every referral, checked

We don't keep a rubber-stamped list or hand your project to whoever paid the most or answered first. Each time we refer a project, we do our due diligence to make sure the contractor we're connecting you with is qualified, legitimate, and local. That work happens on your behalf, every time.

What this means for you — honestly

A referral from AllContraX means a contractor has cleared our due diligence at the time we connect you. It is not a guarantee of any specific project's outcome, a warranty on their work, or a substitute for your own judgment.

We always recommend you get everything in writing, ask questions, and make sure you're comfortable before work begins — and our free Prepare for Your Contractor guide helps you do exactly that for your specific project.

Your contract, your project, and any warranties are between you and the contractor you choose. What we promise is this: we've done everything we reasonably can to make sure the contractors we connect you with are qualified, legitimate, and local — so your odds of a great experience are as high as we can make them.

That's a promise we can keep. And we take it seriously.
